My Approach

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Using CBT and DBT, I work to build on your strengths and to remove barriers that keep you from realizing your goals. For example, our work together might emphasize life skills such as how to respond to stressful situations in a way that you feel good about, get what you want, AND better the relationships that were affected all at the same time. All along the way, you will see that flexing these new emotional “muscles” are merely skill sets you develop and practice.

It is also important to me that I incorporate patient feedback in order to improve patient satisfaction and ultimately have a successful treatment outcome (you feeling, sleeping, working, and relating a whole lot better than when you came in).

Finding a psychologist whom you trust, feel listened to nonjudgmentally, provides hope, and is versed in evidence based therapy are important considerations in your decision. My intention is to “meet you” wherever you are and then to work as hard as you’re working in order to build a life you’re excited to jump out of bed for. I invite you to contact me for a free 15 minute consultation towards this step.
